Resilience Package

What does it mean for businesses?

There have been serious economic impacts from the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. The Government unveiled the Resilience Budget (also known as the Supplementary Budget) on 26 March 2020 as additional support measures in response to the pandemic.

As part of 2020’s Resilience Package, businesses will receive the following help in these areas:

1. Enhanced Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)

Exclusive to SMEs. The maximum funding for all EDG projects will be raised from 70% to 80%. SMEs severely impacted by COVID-19 will receive up to 90% of funding. Unionised enterprises and e2i partners under the Labour Movement can receive an additional 10% funding support, subject to NTUC e2i’s assessment. Grant application must be submitted between 1 April 2020 to 31 December 2020.

2. Enhanced Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

The maximum support level for all PSG projects will be raised from 70% to 80%. This includes pre-approved productivity solutions and equipment for business continuity. Grant application must be submitted between 1 April 2020 to 31 December 2020.

3. Enhanced SG Together Enhancing Enterprise Resilience (STEER)

Enterprise Singapore will match $1 for every $2 raised by industry-led funds, up to $1m per fund. Funding can only be used in the areas of cash flow management, business growth and capability upgrading. Proposals must be submitted by TACs or industry groups between 1 April 2020 to 2 March 2021.
